- May 2016 And the construction continues... The main building materials are bamboo and metal. The earth building method we are using is called, "wattle and daub". We will be weaving bamboo onto the metal frame and then covering them with a clay mix.
- April 2016 We have started digging the foundation for the new Sustainable Children's Home in East Nepal. The earthquake proof building made out of metal and local material will be home to 10 children being care for by our partner, Prisoners Assistance Nepal (www.panepal.org). The new children's home and sustainable farm is located only 750 meters from our resource, research and training center, Almost Heaven Farm. - November, 2015 - Through the support of the Kamala Foundation, many women, children and families were able to sustain themselves in the aftermath of the earthquakes of April and May 2015.
